THIS IS MY STORY
Life is a journey, and mine began in a place of hardship and uncertainty. Growing up, I experienced abuse that shaped me in ways I couldn’t fully understand at the time. But even in the darkest moments, I clung to a belief that life could be different. That belief became my light and my guide.

Education became my escape and my foundation. It was through learning that I found not only knowledge but also hope. With every book I read and every challenge I overcame, I discovered resilience within myself. I earned my degrees, not just as a testament to my perseverance but as a promise to myself that I would use my voice and my story to create change.

My greatest "why" has always been my children. They are my heart, my inspiration, and my driving force. As a mother, I strive to show them what strength, kindness, and perseverance look like. They are the reason I wake up each day determined to make the world a better place—not just for them but for every child who needs a voice, a safe space, and someone to believe in them.

From those early days of struggle, I’ve built a life rooted in purpose. As an educator, leader, and advocate, I strive to be a source of strength for others. My journey has shaped my passion for kindness, my drive to foster collaboration, and my commitment to empowering others to find their own light, just as I did.
Kindness is my purpose, and paying it forward is my mission.
My Purpose
My purpose is simple: to pay it forward.
As a child, before I was adopted, I was blessed to have a community that supported me. They made sure I had Christmas gifts under the tree, warm meals to eat, and the opportunity to feel the magic of being a child. Families in that community gave me the gift of kindness, creating moments of joy and normalcy that carried me through difficult times.

Those acts of compassion shaped who I am today. My goal and purpose in life are to ensure that as many children as possible get the same opportunity—to be a child, to experience joy, and to feel cared for. I am committed to creating safe, supportive spaces for children, spreading kindness wherever I can, and building a world where no child feels forgotten.
My Service
My service to the community has been deeply rooted in the boards, projects, and organizations I’ve dedicated my time to. Each role has given me the opportunity to be part of something bigger than myself and to create lasting change for children and families.
Educated Angels
As co-founder of this nonprofit in 2012, I’ve helped create programs for special needs children through Harker Heights Parks and Recreation, including adaptive sports, Special Olympics initiatives, and real-life work experience opportunities through scholarships and internships.
Garden of Hope of Central Texas
Through my day job, I serve children in foster care and support their families, helping them find hope and healing.
Killeen Independent School Board Place #6
As an elected official, I take the honor of serving my community seriously, ensuring every child, teacher, and family has a voice in our school system.
Collaboration is central to my service. Whether working on projects that uplift children, or fostering partnerships within the community, I am always open to conversations that strengthen our collective efforts. Together, we can build a stronger, more compassionate community for everyone.
